Equitar was founded by long time entrepreneur Maria Cristina Magbanua Sharland.
Established in 2017, Equitar Food Supply Trading has become a leading supplier of high quality commodities in Bacolod City and other neighboring areas in Negros Occidental. Equitar trades and partners with importers, local growers and manufacturers to supply the finest quality commodities and ingredients to local grocery stores and wholesalers. Equitar is a private company that offers customers fine and premium varieties of commodities such as rice, sugar and cooking oil.
In 2019, Equitar transitioned into a One Person Corporation (OPC), with Maria Cristina Sharland as its Sole Stockholder/President to effectively pursue its mission. In 2020, Equitar amended its Articles of Incorporation to include sale, distribution and manufacturing of soap and other cleaning products, among others.
In 2023, Equitar became an exclusive distributor of Rochester Midland Corporation (RMC) and Pariser Industries Inc. (of laundry products) in the Philippines. Both U.S. Corporations are in alignment with the thrust of Equitar in creating a cleaner and healthier environment through its food safety, facility and wellness products.
